- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked beef mixture with breadcrumbs, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with mushrooms.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. If using cheese, sprinkle on top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until melted.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Use lean ground beef to reduce excess fat. Fresh mushrooms can enhance the flavor, and you can add other vegetables for added nutrition.
