Description
A simple and comforting dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts coated in a creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect for weeknights, date nights, or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken with olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Optional: Heat a skillet over medium-high. Sear the chicken 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
- In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream, grated Parmesan, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and thyme until smooth.
- Place the chicken in a greased baking dish. Pour the Parmesan sauce evenly over the top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the foil in the last 5 minutes to allow the top to brown lightly.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with the sauce spooned over the slices and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter prep, the sauce can be prepared ahead and the chicken seasoned in advance. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
