Description

A simple and comforting dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts coated in a creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect for weeknights, date nights, or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the chicken with olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Optional: Heat a skillet over medium-high. Sear the chicken 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together heavy cream, grated Parmesan, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and thyme until smooth.
  6. Place the chicken in a greased baking dish. Pour the Parmesan sauce evenly over the top.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Remove the foil in the last 5 minutes to allow the top to brown lightly.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with the sauce spooned over the slices and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter prep, the sauce can be prepared ahead and the chicken seasoned in advance. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
