Description

Delightful bite-sized treats that bring joy to any celebration, inspired by Starbucks’ popular version, featuring rich vanilla flavor and a colorful presentation.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix (plus the ingredients on the back)
  • 1/4 cup (27g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 oz light pink color melts
  • White nonpareils sprinkles
  • 24 lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
  2. Once the cake is out of the oven, pour it into the bowl of a stand mixer while it’s still hot.
  3. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract into the bowl. Mix on low speed until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll portions of the dough into balls.
  5. Place the cake balls on a cookie sheet and set them in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  6. While they chill, melt the color melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
  7. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted candy and press it into the center of each cake ball.
  8. Return the cake pops to the fridge or freezer briefly to help the chocolate set.
  9. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy and sprinkle with nonpareils if desired.
  10. Let the candy melt set while the cake pops are standing.
  11. Serve or individually wrap them if desired.

Notes

Store the pops at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze them in plastic wrap.
