Ingredients
Scale
- 3 quarts water
- 1 (12-ounce) can of beer (optional)
- 3 tablespoons Creole Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- Hot sauce, to taste
- 1 medium yellow onion, roughly sliced
- 1 large lemon, cut into wedges
- 12 ounces andouille sausage, sliced
- 1 lb baby potatoes
- 1 lb pre-cooked snow crab leg clusters
- 1 – 1 ½ lbs jumbo shrimp, deveined
- 4–6 ears sweet corn on the cob
- 4–6 hard boiled eggs (optional)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 10 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon Creole Cajun Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Hot sauce, to taste
Instructions
- In a large stockpot, combine the water and beer (if using) over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
- Add Creole Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, and hot sauce. Stir in the sliced onion and lemon wedges. Boil for 15 minutes.
- Add andouille sausage and baby potatoes, cooking for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
- Gently add snow crab clusters, shrimp, and corn. Submerge everything and boil for another 5-7 minutes until shrimp is pink.
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment. Using a strainer, move boil contents to the baking sheet, discarding onion and lemon.
- Pour garlic butter sauce over the seafood and toss to combine.
- Serve directly from the baking sheet or divide onto plates, accompanied by extra lemon wedges.
Notes
For a casual experience, serve on the baking sheet and let everyone dig in. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
