Description

A fun and interactive meal featuring seafood boiled in a flavorful broth, served with a delicious garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 (12-ounce) can of beer (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons Creole Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • 1 medium yellow onion, roughly sliced
  • 1 large lemon, cut into wedges
  • 12 ounces andouille sausage, sliced
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 1 lb pre-cooked snow crab leg clusters
  • 11 ½ lbs jumbo shrimp, deveined
  • 46 ears sweet corn on the cob
  • 46 hard boiled eggs (optional)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 10 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Creole Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Hot sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large stockpot, combine the water and beer (if using) over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add Creole Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, and hot sauce. Stir in the sliced onion and lemon wedges. Boil for 15 minutes.
  3. Add andouille sausage and baby potatoes, cooking for 15-20 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender.
  4. Gently add snow crab clusters, shrimp, and corn. Submerge everything and boil for another 5-7 minutes until shrimp is pink.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and hot sauce. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment. Using a strainer, move boil contents to the baking sheet, discarding onion and lemon.
  7. Pour garlic butter sauce over the seafood and toss to combine.
  8. Serve directly from the baking sheet or divide onto plates, accompanied by extra lemon wedges.

Notes

For a casual experience, serve on the baking sheet and let everyone dig in. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
