- 2 cups water
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- Extra sugar for coating
Instructions
- Slice the oranges into thin rounds.
- In a medium pot, combine water and granulated sugar.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the orange slices to the boiling syrup.
- Reduce the heat and let simmer for about 45 minutes until the slices are translucent.
- Remove the slices and place them on a cooling rack or parchment paper.
- Once cooled, roll the slices in extra sugar to coat.
- Let them dry completely before storing.
