Description

A deliciously crispy sandwich featuring turkey, cheddar cheese, and bacon on toasted sourdough bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 ounces turkey breast
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  2. Spread Dijon mustard on top of the mayonnaise on one slice.
  3. Place the cheddar cheese slices on the mustard-coated bread.
  4. Layer the cooked bacon on top of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Add the turkey breast on top of the bacon, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top the turkey with the second slice of sourdough bread, mayo side facing in.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt.
  8. Cook the sandwich in the skillet for 3 to 4 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  9. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  10. Press down slightly with a spatula to ensure even crispiness and melted cheese.
  11. Once both sides are golden, remove the sandwich and let it rest for a minute.
  12. Slice the sandwich in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding avocado or spinach. Ensure the skillet is hot for a perfect crispy texture.
