Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 12 oz langostino tails or lobster
  • 8 oz jumbo lump crabmeat (cooked)
  • 1 cup onions (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup celery (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1 tsp pepper (plus more to taste)
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced or paste)
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp tarragon (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 box Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit mix (11.36 oz)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 pouch garlic herb seasoning (from the box)

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions, bell pepper, and celery, and cook until soft.
  2. Add shrimp, langostino tails or lobster, and crabmeat. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until seafood is just cooked through.
  3. In another pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for a minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add minced garlic, thyme, tarragon, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until gravy thickens.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic herb seasoning from the biscuit mix and set aside.
  6. Combine seafood filling with creamy gravy and pour into a baking dish.
  7. Prepare biscuit mix according to package directions by adding milk and shredded cheddar cheese. Spread biscuit batter over seafood filling evenly.
  8. Brush the top with the herb butter sauce.

Notes

Using fresh seafood enhances the flavor, and frozen seafood is also a great alternative. Customize by adding your favorite vegetables or seafood.
