- 10 corn tortillas
- 1 cup cooked crab meat
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, shrimp, cream cheese, shredded cheese, green onions, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Warm the corn tortillas for a few seconds on each side to make them pliable.
- Place a few tablespoons of the filling onto one end of each tortilla, then roll it up tightly.
- In the same skillet, heat oil for frying. Fry the taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with salsa or sour cream.
Notes
Warm the tortillas before rolling to prevent cracking. Add jalapeños for spice or bake instead of frying for a healthier option.
