Description

Delicious skewered and grilled chicken marinated in a savory sauce, perfect for gatherings and outdoor dining.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 4 green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sake (optional)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (like avocado oil)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Marinate them with garlic, sake (if using), soy sauce, vegetarian oyster sauce, neutral oil, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill or grill pan.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken and green onions onto skewers.
  4. Grill the skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side. Brush the skewers with the glaze made from soy sauce and honey during the last few minutes of cooking.
