  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter for the brownie batter.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt. Mix until the batter is smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar for the chocolate chip cookie dough.
  6. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until light and fluffy.
  7. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft cookie dough forms.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  9. Pour the brownie batter into the lined dish, spreading it evenly.
  10. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the brownie batter.
  11. Gently press the dough into the brownie batter to create a marbled effect.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly gooey.
