- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter, then stir in the sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture until well combined.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries and half of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool completely before topping.
- Melt the remaining chocolate chips with vegetable oil until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the brownies and spread it evenly.
- Let the chocolate set, cut the brownies into squares, and serve.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, add a pinch of espresso powder to the batter. Use fresh strawberries that are not too wet to avoid sogginess.
