Description
Tender chicken breasts are cooked in a rich and flavorful creamy garlic Parmesan sauce for a delicious weeknight dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet. Lower the heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the cream and stir to deglaze the pan. Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat with the sauce.
Notes
Make sure not to overcook the chicken. It should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). For a thicker sauce, let it simmer a little longer after adding the Parmesan cheese.
