Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 pound ground pork (or chicken)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup shredded cabbage
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour and water to form a dough. Knead until smooth, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the ground meat, green onions, cabbage, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Roll the dough into small balls and flatten each into circles.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold and crimp to seal well.
- Heat a bit of oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the gyoza in the pan and fry until they turn golden.
- Add a splash of water and cover the pan to steam for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Knead the dough well for a smooth texture. Avoid overfilling the wrappers. Ensure the oil is hot when frying to achieve perfect crispness.
