Description

Delightful colorful treats that are light, sweet, and versatile, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract or food coloring (optional)
  • Filling of your choice (buttercream, ganache, jam, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl.
  3. Whip Egg Whites: Whisk egg whites until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine: Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until the batter flows like lava.
  5. Pipe the Mixture: Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto the parchment-lined sheets.
  6. Rest: Let the piped macarons sit at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes until a skin forms.
  7. Bake: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake macarons for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Fill: Once cooled, spread or pipe your chosen filling onto one macaron and top with another.

Notes

For best results, ensure egg whites are at room temperature. Consider using a kitchen scale for precise measurements.
