Instructions
- Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl to remove lumps.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar and cream of tartar while beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the almond mixture along with your chosen flavoring and food coloring.
- Pipe small rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Allow the piped macarons to sit for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms on top.
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F) and bake the macarons for 15-20 minutes.
- Once baked, let the macarons cool completely, then sandwich them with your desired filling.
