Description

Delicious fudgy red velvet brownies that are rich in flavor and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Cream cheese frosting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined. Stir in the red food coloring until evenly mixed.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
  10. If desired, top with cream cheese frosting before serving.

Notes

For extra fudginess, do not overbake the brownies. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
