- 8 oz linguine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Boil the Pasta
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside. - Sauté Garlic in Olive Oil
In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic. Add butter and stir. - Cook the Shrimp
Cook shrimp 1–2 mins per side until pink. Remove and keep warm. - Combine Pasta and Shrimp
Add pasta to the skillet. Toss in shrimp and lemon juice. - Garnish and Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best aroma—avoid pre-minced jars.
- Don’t overcook the shrimp. As soon as they turn pink and curl, they’re done!
- Reserve a bit of pasta water to help the sauce coat the noodles evenly.
- Add a splash of lemon juice or white wine to brighten the richness of the butter.
- Want a creamy version? Stir in heavy cream or parmesan after combining the pasta.
- Use linguine or fettuccine for better sauce hold, but gluten-free options like chickpea pasta work too.
- Add chili flakes if you enjoy a little heat.
- Store leftovers in a glass container and reheat gently with a splash of water or broth.
- For meal prep: cook the garlic butter sauce ahead and store separately from pasta.
