Description

This Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta is a quick, flavorful dish made in just 10 minutes. Perfect for weeknights or entertaining, it’s rich, buttery, and loaded with fresh garlic and juicy shrimp.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta
Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic in Olive Oil
In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic. Add butter and stir.
  3. Cook the Shrimp
Cook shrimp 1–2 mins per side until pink. Remove and keep warm.
  4. Combine Pasta and Shrimp
Add pasta to the skillet. Toss in shrimp and lemon juice.
  5. Garnish and Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best aroma—avoid pre-minced jars.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp. As soon as they turn pink and curl, they’re done!
  • Reserve a bit of pasta water to help the sauce coat the noodles evenly.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice or white wine to brighten the richness of the butter.
  • Want a creamy version? Stir in heavy cream or parmesan after combining the pasta.
  • Use linguine or fettuccine for better sauce hold, but gluten-free options like chickpea pasta work too.
  • Add chili flakes if you enjoy a little heat.
  • Store leftovers in a glass container and reheat gently with a splash of water or broth.
  • For meal prep: cook the garlic butter sauce ahead and store separately from pasta.
