- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- Red and pink sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until completely combined.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cookies and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle red and pink decorations on top before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
