- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegan butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Vegan food coloring (optional)
- Decorative sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the vegan butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add almond milk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- If desired, divide the dough and color with vegan food coloring.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
- Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles, if desired.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool before serving.

Notes
