Description

Delightful heart-shaped sugar cookies, perfect for Valentine’s Day celebrations. Easy to make and wonderfully customizable!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Vegan food coloring (optional)
  • Decorative sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the vegan butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add almond milk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. <liGradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until combined.

  6. If desired, divide the dough and color with vegan food coloring.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
  8. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles, if desired.
  9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container. They last up to a week at room temperature. For longer freshness, refrigerate or freeze.
