Description

Delicious, soft cinnamon rolls filled with a rich blend of cinnamon and sugar, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add melted butter, sugar, and egg. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  10. For the frosting, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve a smooth consistency.
  11. Frost rolls while warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, don’t rush the frosting and let the rolls cool slightly before applying.
