Description

A delightful treat showcasing the bright, zesty flavor of fresh oranges. Perfect for gifts or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium Oranges
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Corn Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Gelatin
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (optional)
  • 1 cup Confectioners’ Sugar

Instructions

  1. Juice the oranges and remove any seeds.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, granulated sugar, corn syrup, water, and gelatin. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Heat the mixture gently over medium heat until it boils, stirring constantly to avoid sticking.
  4. Once it reaches a thick consistency, remove it from heat and add butter, if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into a prepared pan and let it cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, dust with confectioners’ sugar and cut into pieces.

Notes

Use fresh oranges for the best flavor. Stir continuously while cooking to prevent burning.
