Description

A delightful dish combining chicken, honey, and sesame flavors in a sticky sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the sauce over it and toss to coat.
  5. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm over rice or noodles.

Notes

For a crispier texture, ensure the chicken is well-coated in cornstarch before frying. Marinate in soy sauce for more flavor.
