Description
Simple and delicious honey soy chicken thighs, perfect for family dinners or quick weeknight meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger (if using) to create the marinade.
- In a large zip-top bag or shallow dish, add the chicken thighs and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting the excess drip off. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place chicken thighs in the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
- Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired, then serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate longer. Optionally use chicken breasts instead and adjust cooking time if needed.
