Description

A crispy and cheesy chicken dish that brings steakhouse flavors to your home, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In one dish, mix the bread crumbs, half the Parmesan cheese, and the seasonings.
  3. In another dish, beat together the eggs and milk.
  4. Put the flour in a third dish.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip it in the egg mixture, then coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each piece of chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the cooked chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan with the mozzarella and minced garlic. Spoon this mixture over the chicken.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

Notes

For consistent cooking, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. You can customize the flavor with different spices in the breadcrumb mixture.
