- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 chicken sausages, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add orzo pasta and stir to combine.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until orzo is tender.
- Add steamed broccoli and parmesan cheese.
- Stir until combined and cheese is melted.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove, adding a splash of chicken broth if needed.
