Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter (diced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound them to a uniform thickness of about 0.5 – 0.75 inches.
  3. Rub olive oil over the chicken breasts.
  4. In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Coat the chicken evenly with the seasoning mix.
  6. Arrange the seasoned chicken in the casserole dish and top each piece with a slice of butter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. For added browning, broil for an additional 1-3 minutes.
