Ingredients

- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it bubbles.
- In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 60 minutes).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread soft butter on top.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut it into pieces.
- Place the rolls in a baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- For the icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls.
Notes
Best served warm with extra icing. Pair with coffee or tea for a cozy breakfast.
