Description

Fluffy and sweet cinnamon rolls, perfect for breakfast or brunch, topped with a delicious icing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it bubbles.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture and knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it doubles in size (about 60 minutes).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread soft butter on top.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut it into pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in a baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  11. For the icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a splash of milk until smooth. Drizzle over the warm rolls.

Notes

Best served warm with extra icing. Pair with coffee or tea for a cozy breakfast.
