Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in both sugars until well combined.
  3. Mix in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

  9. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla together until smooth and fluffy.
  10. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled brownies.

Ensure your butter is fully melted and not hot when mixing in the sugars. For a more vibrant red color, use gel food coloring. Don’t overmix the batter once you add the flour to keep the brownies moist.
