- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk, milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture. Mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop small amounts of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly with your hand.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
