Description

A delightful twist on traditional lasagna, combining the flavors of shrimp and crab with rich, creamy layers.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and crab meat, cooking until shrimp is pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Stir in the heavy cream until well combined.
  6. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the seafood mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles and marinara on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the seafood as it can become tough. Use store-bought marinara or homemade for extra flavor.
