A delicious and simple dish featuring tender chicken smothered in creamy sour cream and melted cheese.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir until well-blended.
- Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken breast.
- Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each chicken breast and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is golden.
- Allow to stand for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes or incorporating vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
