Description

A rich and simple dinner that combines tender seared steak with creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce and shell pasta.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz shell pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the shell pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season steak bites with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and sear until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 4–5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and steak bites into the sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Pat steak pieces dry for a better sear. Do not overcrowd the pan when searing. Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce. Warm the cream before adding to the pan to help it come to a simmer faster.
