Description

Delicious and comforting, these Sticky Chicken Rice Bowls are perfect for busy weeknights, combining tender chicken with a flavorful sticky sauce over rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Serve over cooked rice, drizzled with additional sauce if desired.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Marinate the chicken longer for deeper flavor. Feel free to add vegetables for extra nutrition.
