- 1 package Strawberry Cake Mix (15.25 ounces)
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
- â…“ cup Cream Cheese Chips
- 2 bags Ghirardelli Vanilla Melting Wafers (10 oz each)
- ½ cup Wilton Pink Candy Melts
- ½ cup Wilton Bright Pink Candy Melts
- Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the strawberry cake mix on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Fold the cooled cake mix into the cream cheese until combined, then beat with a mixer until a dough forms.
- Add in the cream cheese chips and mix well.
- Chill the dough, covered with plastic wrap, for 120 minutes.
- Scoop portions of dough onto a baking sheet and roll them into balls.
- Melt the vanilla melting wafers using a double boiler or microwave.
- Dip each ball into the melted coating, remove excess, and place it back on the sheet.
- If desired, sprinkle with optional toppings before the coating sets.
- Allow the truffles to set completely at room temperature.
Notes
Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Chill the dough adequately for best results.
