Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup candy hearts
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, candy hearts, and any other mix-ins you are using (nuts, dried fruits).
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly undercooked.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
