Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, candy hearts, and any other mix-ins you are using (nuts, dried fruits).
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly undercooked.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
