Ingredients

- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 pint of your favorite ice cream (any flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until well mixed.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, layer cookie pieces with ice cream in a glass or bowl.
- Serve immediately or freeze for later enjoyment.
Notes
Serve with chocolate syrup or a sprinkle of nuts for added flavor and crunch. Best enjoyed fresh to keep the cookies from getting soft.
