Ingredients

Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove beignets and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Notes
Store beignets at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
