Description

A delightful vegan dish that elevates the ordinary onion with tender texture and punchy Cajun seasoning.


Ingredients

  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or vegan butter)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut it into quarters.
  2. In a large pot, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Once hot, add the onion quarters to the pot.
  4. Sprinkle the salt and Cajun seasoning over the onions.
  5. Cover the pot and cook the onions for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy.
