Description

A delightful dish combining tender steak, cheesy tortellini, and creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a cozy dinner or impressive meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add tortellini, and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, add steak and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in heavy cream and whole milk.
  5. Slowly add parmesan cheese to the sauce, mixing until melted and smooth.
  6. Slice the steak, add back to the skillet along with tortellini, and stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning. If desired, sprinkle in red pepper flakes.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add Italian seasoning or fresh herbs. Make sure not to overcook the steak and adjust heavy cream for an extra creamy sauce.
